And your sons. The Septuagint omit this. But in the East, it was fashionable for men also to wear ear-rings. (Pliny, xi. 37; Judges viii. 24; Ezechiel vii. 20.) Aaron hoped the people would relent at this proposal. (St. Augustine, q. 141.)
