And the Priests stood in their offices: and the Levites with the instruments of the songs of our Lord, which David the king made to praise our Lord: Because his mercy is for ever, singing (a) the hymns of David by their hands: moreover the Priests sounded with Trumpets before them, and all Israel stood.
(a) As the Temple was the special place of prayer, chosen by God: v. 12. so special Hymns Psalms and other set forms of blessing are more grateful to God, and more effectual to his servants.
