And be despised: Gr. ÎµÌ‰Î¾Î¿Ï…Î´ÎµÎ½Ï‰Î¸Î·Ìƒ, i.e, be nothing accounted of. Understand, thus shall it happen to Elias, that when by his great labours he has restored the faith, he shall in return for such great benefits receive curses and ill-treatment from the ungrateful and the impious, and shall at last be killed by them.
