Therefore, just as the power which destroys what is born is begotten along with physical birth, so it is clear that the Spirit bestows a lifegiving power upon those born through it. What, then, can be deduced from what we have said? That separating ourselves from life in the flesh, which death normally follows upon, we may seek a kind of life which does not have death as its consequence.
