About the Program
In 2015, Catena started as two engineers who wanted to make Christianity more accessible and easier to understand. Over the last 2 years, Catena has organically grown to 30,000 users around the world, who depend on Catena as an irreplaceable tool to read the the Bible!
Catena has always been a team of part-time volunteers. Now, we need more help, specifically your help! We have big projects planned for 2020, and would like to offer a few engineers the opportunity to live in Bali, all expenses paid, and work with the Catena team full-time in Summer 2020.

Preferred Qualifications
- Self-learner, problem-solver, and motivated individual
- Passionate about using skills to serve Christianity
- Comfortable working independently & solving problems
- Minimum 1.5 years of experience developing with JS
- Experience with React and/or React Native
- Understanding of APIs and Databases
- Focus on writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Individuals can be citizens of any country, with a valid passport until March 2021
Program Details
- Flights, Food, and Accomodation are included
- Accomodation will be a villa, near or on a beach in Bali
- Flexible work schedule, this is going to be a fun summer!
- 2 months working flexible hours, 40 hours/week
- At least 2 months pre and post the program with Catena part-time (5h/week)
- You will be leading a high-impact project for the Catena App, or a new exciting initiative for serving Christianity
