Psalms 18:3

I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from my enemies.
Read Chapter 18

Augustine of Hippo

AD 430
4. "With praise will I call upon the Lord, and I shall be safe from Mine enemies" (ver. 3). Seeking not My own but the Lord's glory, I will call upon Him, and there shall be no means whereby the errors of ungodliness can hurt Me.

George Leo Haydock

AD 1849
Praising. Hebrew, "praised "and (2 Kings) the Lord, who is worthy to be praised. (Haydock) Chaldean agrees here with the Septuagint and Vulgate, which seems more natural. (Calmet) The sense is the same. (Berthier)

Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation - 2 Peter 1:20
